Every year, Disney pastry chefs create chocolate Easter eggs to put on display at the Grand Floridian. This year was my first year to see them in person, and they were absolutely a sight to see!
The eggs were put on display April 1st, and will remain for guest enjoyment until April 28. There are a total of 40 chocolate eggs with details made of fondant, royal icing, sugar sculptures, and more. A sign at the GF describes the eggs to be 16 – 20 inches tall and weigh 9 – 12 pounds. An entire team is dedicated toward the eggs, and production takes about three weeks!
The detail to these eggs are immaculate, and were just as memorizing as the Grand Floridian’s gingerbread house display. I was in awe at how much little detail was put into these eggs. It’s so hard to believe they are made out of chocolate and other edible delights! Below are some of our favorites from the display.
